It’s Friday and I’ve survived another week of living. On one hand, it feels like there’s so much going on around here that I don’t even know where to begin and on the other hand, there is literally nothing going on around here. The boys are as perfect as a one and two year old can be, Seth and I have been spending our newly-free evenings catching up on Games of Thrones (lots of fiery dragon dreams lately) and the weather has been refreshingly warm and spring-y allowing for a lot of outdoors time.
I’ve been on the job market for ten days, I’ve had three interviews with three different companies and I’ve been surprisingly busy in between, so yesterday I decided to skip the “work” and take the boys on a surprise trip to the zoo. It was the perfect day to take a mental break, enjoy my babies and bask in the sunshine. We had a great time. The boys are at such a fun age and borderline obsessed with each other. Matty is getting into the “HURRY UP, MOM!” and “COME ON, ABBOTT!” stage and Abbott is in the mindlessly-and-fearfully-wandering-everywhere stage. I think I’m finally starting to see the light at the other end of the tunnel as far as taking them in public by myself. Dare I say they’re growing up too fast??
This weekend we’re heading to my parents for Easter where I’m sure the boys will eat too much candy, sleep in their rain boots and stay up way too late. Abbott will probably say the word “puppy” 934 times and Matty will probably yell “no” 12309805874272 times. Can’t wait.
